It was indeed most heart-warming that despite our incoming President Denise Wong’s inability to attend her installation in person, Rotary Club of Queenstown members banded together as a team to pull off an impressive Installation dinner.

Topic: Don't waste a good bike - Up-Cycle it for the needy!

 

BikeShack refurbishes bikes which is donated to low income and underprivileged families. Do contact BikeShack if you have a bike you would like to donate to the needy.

Head and Senior Consultant at the Department of Neonatology, Khoo Teck Puat National University Children's Medical Institute, National University Hospital (NUH)

 

Topic: Doing better when you are the BEST!

 

Dr Zubair shared his perspectives from working with families of vulnerable children in public hospitals and identifying incremental and meaningful improvements in areas often overlooked.

1st Mental Health Forum - with PDG Andre Suharto as moderator - Insights into Mental Health Care

 

District 3310 Community Service Committee with Rotary Clubs from Singapore and East Malaysia (Sarawak) co-hosting. 

Co-Host Rotary Clubs: Bukit Timah, Kuching Unity City, Kampong Gelam and Queenstown

 

More than 350 registered participants from as far as the Philippines attended the online forum. A special shout out to @Rcq Felix Lim who arranged for psychatrist Dr Ang Yong Guan to give his views on mental health.

Rotary Club of Queenstown members flew into Kuching to celebrate with our sister club; RC Kuching Central's installation of their incoming President, Calvin Chong and his Board.

 

Congratulations President Calvin Chong, RC Queenstown look forward to working closely in the Rotary year with your Club on the many potential Rotary projects.

 

RC Queenstown and RC Kuching Central also took the opportunity at this splendid event to renew our sister club agreement. 

 

RCQ is most grateful for the generous hospitality of all the RC Kuching Central members; from the minute we touched down in Kuching to the time we had to say goodbye.

The commeraderie, the friendship, the amazing range and delightful flavours of the cuisine in Kuching  is bar none! Thank you for a most memorable time.
